Appearance: Compact, sturdy, hard-muscled herder, 17-20 inches tall. Related to the Dingo. Born white, coat turns blue-gray ('Blue Heeler') or red ('Red Heeler'), often with mottling or speckling.
Traits & Characteristics: Resilient, intelligent (enough to outsmart owners), with immense work drive. Excel at moving livestock. Boundless energy, loyal, tenacious, alert, and wary of strangers. Need challenges and exercise to prevent boredom/mischief. Also called Queensland Heeler.
