Boxer

Appearance: The Boxer is the canine equivalent of a professional athlete. They have a muscular, square-built body, a short coat, and a distinctive 'blunt' muzzle with a slightly undershot jaw. Their large, dark eyes are full of expression, often conveying a sense of playful intelligence or 'I didn't do it' innocence.

Traits & Characteristics: Boxers are famous for their high energy and 'clownish' behavior. They are incredibly playful and love to 'box' with their front paws during play (hence the name). They are patient with children but can be formidable guardians of their home. If you want a dog that will keep you laughing and moving, the Boxer is your best bet.

Origins: Germany, where they were developed for hunting large game and later as guard dogs.
