French Bulldog

Appearance: The 'Frenchie' is a small, muscular dog with a smooth coat, a snub nose, and large, upright 'bat ears' that are their most famous feature. They look like they've just walked out of a high-end Parisian boutique, with a compact frame and a face that is perpetually inquisitive. Their expressions range from 'I'm very serious' to 'I just saw a butterfly.'

Traits & Characteristics: Frenchies are the ultimate city dwellers—charming, easygoing, and not overly demanding when it comes to exercise. They are affectionate companions who love a good lap and a nap. While they might not be the best swimmers (due to their heavy front-end), they are world-class at being adorable and making funny noises.

Origins: Despite the name, they actually originated in England as miniature bulldogs before becoming the darlings of Paris.
