Appearance: Archetypical shaggy dog (21-22 inches). Profuse coat, peak-a-boo hairdo, distinctive bear-like gait. Beneath coat: muscular, compact drover, plenty of bone, big rump. Eyes dark brown, blue, or one of each. Skull capacious, rather square. Often called OES.
Traits & Characteristics: Mellow, agreeable nature. Big, agile dog enjoying exploring/romping. Nimble despite shuffle. Requires regular exercise. Fine housedog qualities: watchful, courageous, kindly, intelligent. Great with children (patient, protective playmates). Sensible watchdogs, loud ringing bark.
